The GHCIS Boys' Basketball Team has consistently achieved outstanding results on the basketball court. They have made significant progress, starting as runner-up in the second-tier league and emerging to be a strong contender in the first-tier.

In the 2020-2021 season, the basketball players proved their strength in the second-tier league by winning the runner-up. Despite the pandemic challenges in the following seasons, the team continued their training diligently.

In the 2022-2023 season, they performed exceptionally well in the first-tier SSSA league winning the fifth place. In the 2023-2024 season, they won seventh place in the first-tier league and added another honor to our school with third place in the 30th-anniversary invitational tournament of the Shanghai High School International Division.

The boys' volleyball team maintained their excellent performance in the following seasons, winning the runner-up position in the first-tier league of the 2021-2022 season. In the 2023-2024 season, they fought hard and ultimately won the runner-up in the boys' volleyball championship.

They started with a championship in the second-tier league in the 2020-2021 season and gradually progressed to the first-tier league with a fourth place in the 2022-2023 season. Although the 2021-2022 season was interrupted by the pandemic, the boys' football team maintained their enthusiasm for training. In the latest 2023-2024 season, they won fifth place in the first-tier league as another proof of their strength and potential. The team has been widely acclaimed for their excellent skills, seamless teamwork, and perseverance. Our school's Girls' Volleyball Team has repeatedly achieved outstanding results in various volleyball leagues and has demonstrated its exceptional strength and unwavering spirit. Starting from the fourth place in the 2020-2019 season, the team has steadily advanced with second and third places in first-tier volleyball leagues and has achieved a new milestone by winning the runner-up in the 2023-2024 girls' volleyball championship.

The volleyball players are highly praised by teachers and peers with their superb skills, seamless teamwork, and tenacious spirit. Their indomitable will in the competitions perfectly represents our school's sports spirit.

In recent years, the team has demonstrated extraordinary strength and team spirit. In the 2023-2024 season, the men's team not only won the first-tier team championship but also secured third place in the second-tier (B team), which shows their resilience and collective competitive. The women's team followed closely as the first-tier team runner-up, once again proving their strength and potential.

In the 2022-2023 season, the men's and women's teams achieved third and second places in their respective first-tier competitions, while the men's second-tier (B team) also claimed the runner-up position, demostrating a complete success across multiple levels. In the 2021-2022 and 2020-2021 seasons, the team repeatedly won the first-tier team runner-up and made a historic breakthrough when the women’s team won the first-tier team championship.
